Free 24-Hour Stay Permit in China

Image
As a Sky Pearl Club member of China Southern Airlines, I know they have the best perks in terms of layovers. I was searching on how to get a transit visa to China since I will be having a 21-hour layover at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and to my surprise, China is giving 24-hour free temporary stay permit on almost all nationalities!  I also checked  Travel China Guide's  site and this is what they have posted. (All credits to the said site) "Under the 24-hour visa-free transit rule, no visa is required for international flight, ship, or train passengers who transit directly through mainland China and will stay for less than 24 hours. This policy is applicable to almost all nationalities. Most airports are eligible, except the airports in Shenzhen, Yanji, Mudanjiang, and Fuzhou. Passengers should hold tickets to a third country or region and have a confirmed seat. In case that they want to leave the port for city sightseeing or transfer to another port during the 24 hours, they ca

Taipei in 4 Days

So last June, I decided to visit Taiwan after I saw a cheap flight from Singapore via SCOOT. I only stayed there for 4 amazing days, but I still get to see lots of great places.  Here is a quick 4-day itinerary guide to Taipei. Hope this one helps. I arrived in Taipei around 11:30 in the morning on my first day so I still had the whole afternoon to explore the gorgeous city.  Day 1 Elephant Mountain - if you want to have  a really good panoramic view of the city for free, this place is perfect and will give you a good head start to see how beautiful Taipei is.  Taipei 101 - head to Taipei 101 to see closely the details of one of the world's tallest buildings. You can have dinner at Din Tai Fung inside Taipei 101 also. They have the best Xiao Long Bao (a type of steamed bun)! 👌🏻  Day 2 Yehliu Geo Park - head to the north coast to see the different rock formations of Yehliu Geo Park.  Jiufen - known for its narrow alleys and tea houses. Shifen Waterfall and Shifen Old Street  Gold

Hidden Gems of Krabi

Thinking about Thailand? Why not go to Krabi? Less crowd, much cheaper than Phuket, nearer to Phi Phi Islands, and has many hidden treasures you will not expect. Here are some places I recommend each traveler should check out. 1.) Blue Pool  Yes! This pool in the middle of the jungle is a must-see in Krabi. Though swimming is prohibited, it is still a great experience to catch a glimpse of their famous Blue Pool.  2.) Emerald Pool As the color of water itself, this Emerald Pool is also a must-try in Krabi. People are allowed to swim in this pool and if you have enough time, better to stay here for one wholeday so you can enjoy the Jungle, Blue Pool and  Emerald Pool at the same time.  3.) Krabi Hot Spring   Soak yourself in the water and enjoy. As you can see, this place is really famous for western people. This spring has therapeutic effects too! 4.) Tiger Cave Temple  If you do enjoy trekking and seeing the mountains, then Tiger Cave Temple is a good idea. Make sure to have plenty of

Traveling for me is to see the places I've been dreaming of, and make memories out of it. Here is a list of my top 10 favourite travel destinations which are all instagram worthy. 1.) Jokülsarlön (Iceland)  This glacial lagoon is worth a trip from Reykjavik. Situated at southern part of Iceland, most of the travel time will be on the road. We were given only 2 hours to explore this place, but every minute of it was worth it.  2.) Hallstatt (Austria) Spare some of your time to visit this fairytale-like village if you are in Austria. You can go boating by the lake or visit the salt mine nearby.  3.) Cesky Krumlov (Czech Republic) Only 2 hours away from Prague, this magical place do exist! Travel by bus or you can book a day trip with other tourists from local travel agencies. I tell you, no place in Europe feels more magical than Cesky Krumlov. 4.) Hang Mua (Viet Nam) Every climb is worth it if this view welcomes you. Located in Ninh Bin
