Taipei in 4 Days

So last June, I decided to visit Taiwan after I saw a cheap flight from Singapore via SCOOT. I only stayed there for 4 amazing days, but I still get to see lots of great places.

Here is a quick 4-day itinerary guide to Taipei. Hope this one helps. I arrived in Taipei around 11:30 in the morning on my first day so I still had the whole afternoon to explore the gorgeous city.

Day 1

Elephant Mountain- if you want to have  a really good panoramic view of the city for free, this place is perfect and will give you a good head start to see how beautiful Taipei is.

Taipei 101- head to Taipei 101 to see closely the details of one of the world's tallest buildings. You can have dinner at Din Tai Fung inside Taipei 101 also. They have the best Xiao Long Bao (a type of steamed bun)! 👌🏻

Day 2

Yehliu Geo Park- head to the north coast to see the different rock formations of Yehliu Geo Park.

Jiufen- known for its narrow alleys and tea houses.

Shifen Waterfall and Shifen Old Street

Golden Waterfalls

Day 3

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial

National Palace Museum

Sun Yat-Sen Memorial

Day 4

Enjoy Taipei Main Station's architecture and trains before going back to the airport.

Extra places to visit if you have enough time:

National Taiwan Universityif you are a big fan of Meteor Garden in 2001, this school is definitely familiar to you. NTU is the real life Ying De University where Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si met.

Ximending

Accomodation: Main Inn Taipei

I booked for a $45 hostel/hotel in Taipei which I stayed for 3 nights. Located only 10 minutes from Taipei Main Station by walking, this is definitely the place for solo travelers! They offer free snacks, iron, and laundry too! And by the way, they have a free code used for Klook bookings which gives you discounted prices!
