THE HOLY LAND

Nowhere on Earth is more sacred to three of the principal religions—Christianity, Judaism, and Islam—than a corner of the Middle East called the "Holy Land."

How many of you wishes to go to The Holy Land once in  your lifetime? I was so blessed last 2015 to be given a chance to step foot in Israel when we went to Jordan. As you can see, it will be very expensive If someday, I'm going to join a group from the Philippines to do a Pilgrimage, so I grabbed the opportunity crossing the border of Israel from Jordan because that will save me a lot of money.

Important sites to visit:
  • Old City of Jerusalem (Garden of Gethsemane, Wailing or Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Jewish Quarters)

Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, most famous as the place where Jesus prayed and his disciples slept the night before Jesus' crucifixion.

  • Palestine (Bethlehem, Church of Nativity, Manger of Baby Jesus, Shepherd's Field)

Wedding Church in Cana
Church of Multiplication in Tabgha, Israel- It is traditionally accepted as the place of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes (Mark 6:30-46) and the fourth resurrection appearance of Jesus (John 21:1-24) after his Crucifixion.

The very spot where Jesus laid the bread and fish before they multiplied.
The garden of Wedding Church in Cana. This is where the first miracle happened.

  • Yad Vashem-Yad Vashem is Israel's official memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. This is the second most visited Israeli tourist spot after the Western Wall. Some of the photos were grabbed from the internet since it wasn't allowed to take photos inside of the museum.

*To all holding Philippine passports, Israel is giving us 90-day free visa. They are NOT stamping our passports, instead, they are just giving us entry and exit clearances (serve as a substitute for a stamp in your travel document). Just spare $100 (maximum) for visa fees. In my case, I crossed the border from Alenbi Bridge of Jordan.
